What is a Surprise Ball?

A unique, handmade toy that’s perfect for all genders, roughly for ages 4-11, and sure to be a hit!

12 tiny toys/trinkets are wrapped in layers of colorful crepe paper ribbons.

Surprise balls are hand wrapped and the toys are carefully curated by me.

This year, they come in these themes (scroll down for videos of examples surprises):

nostalgic + low plastic,
arts + crafty,
sensory fun + fidgets,
bugs + ninjas (boys),
unicorns + kitties (girls), &
total surprise.

100% of proceeds goes towards supporting neurodiverse families. These are perfect gifts and stocking stuffers and are a multiplicity of gifts in one:

part non-profit donation,
part fun + unforgettable experience, and
part toy (lots of toys actually)!

What I love about Surprise Balls:

1) They’re so old-world and Waldorf-y.

2) They are creative and hand-made.

3) That they are designed with all neurotypes in mind. They are perfect for dopamine seekers, destruction lovers, and trinket hoarders.

4) How much kids love and remember them - I have kids asking about them a whole year after experiencing one.

5) The crepe ribbons are reusable for art projects (we make Christmas tree chains from them) or as colorful gift bag stuffing.

Inspired by old world European traditions re-imagined as a children’s holiday surprise.

When this toy was popularized in the US, it was billed as: “the toy you destroy to enjoy,” because the whole point is to unwrap all the paper and find the toys hidden in the layers!
